About Paola Falcoski

Paola Falcoski is an Advanced Specialist Eating Disorder Dietitian and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, with many years of clinical experience supporting children, young people, and adults with eating difficulties, neurodiversity, and complex emotional needs. She brings a calm, compassionate presence to her work, creating a safe space where clients feel understood, supported, and gently encouraged at a pace that feels right for them.

Paola is highly skilled in working with eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, ARFID, and other forms of disordered eating. She also has extensive experience supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, and sports nutrition needs. Her approach is holistic and body-based, combining nutritional expertise with therapeutic methods that support emotional regulation and nervous system stabilisation.

Her practice is grounded in the belief that long term change arises when a person feels safe, connected, and empowered. She offers sessions that gently allow emotions to surface and be understood, integrating evidence-based approaches such as CBT-e, CBT-t, FT-AN, Unified Protocol, mindfulness-based strategies, SOS feeding methods, and the Safe and Sound protocol. Paola tailors every session to the individual, ensuring therapy fits their needs, not the other way around.

Paola has experience of supporting young people and families through both outpatient and inpatient work. She is deeply committed to improving standards of care in her field, contributing to research, teaching, and event speaking, and providing supervision to other dietitians. Paola’s warm, attuned, and gently curious approach helps clients explore their experiences, understand their internal responses, and develop healthier patterns around food, body image, and emotional wellbeing.

What is a Specialist Eating Disorder Dietitian?

A specialist eating disorder dietitian is trained not only in nutrition but also in understanding the emotional, behavioural, and psychological components of eating difficulties. This means they can help clients:

  • understand how thoughts, emotions, and physiology influence eating

  • stabilise their relationship with food in ways that feel safe and achievable

  • explore sensory, behavioural, or neurodiversity-related barriers to eating

  • support physical restoration alongside emotional healing

Because eating disorders often involve complex cycles of anxiety, avoidance, or intense distress, a specialist eating disorders dietitian combines dietetic skills with therapeutic approaches that support regulation, safety, and nervous system balance.
